The Mountain Weavers' Farm Store opened in July of 2019. The store was founded as part of our commitment to supporting the communities in which we serve. We strive to bridge the gap between local farmers, producers, and the community by increasing access to local food.
The store is used to teach job readiness skills through our Community Prevocational Services Program. While working in the store, individuals are learning social skills and work skills while exploring a variety of work experiences. They may assist with ordering, pricing, stocking, displaying products, and customer service.
Seed To Table utilizes our greenhouse, garden, and commercial kitchen to provide job readiness skills through agriculture and cooking. This group was founded in 2013 and provides the store with fresh produce as well as entrees, soups, and salads. Individuals also represent Mountain Lake Services at several area farmers' markets.
